who is lulu doll?
Hi there! I'm Lulu, the founder of my former brand, Hennessey Lens Co, which has now been expanded into lulu doll's atelier. I've been an artist for 10 years, and along the way iv'e explored many different art forms. through this expedition, i have discovered the specific art forms i proudly present to you today.
i began painting before i could write. In 2017, I started a youtube channel that was beyond cringeworthy, but kickstarted a long living passion for content creation and, most importantly, making people happy. at 16 I began to dig deeper for an idea on how exactly I could create a business I loved, help passionate people in my position start building something they truly loved, and provide something to people that would be a win-win for everyone. that's what formed into hennessey lens co, my first ever business. h.l.c. ran into issues quickly as i knew it didn't contain my full heart. photography was only one aspect of my creative expression, and i knew i wanted to expand it into something people haven't experienced before.
here is where lulu doll atelier is introduced. my brand is a reflection of my own perception of art, and the ways i love to express it. my brand is different because not only do we do all types of services, we teach art lessons to people of all ages, and we offer only 100% handmade, original and fully customizable artwork. I genuinely believe art is the best way to express what you feel, and being a part of your story is the biggest honor I can be given. i strive to connect with my "clients" because you guys are more than numbers to me. we all are people with stories.
i vow to give you the best possible experience I can, because if it matters to you, it matters to me.
HALL OF FAME
My uncle was a photographer. he encouraged me during his life, and made all of this possible even after. Uncle Kent passed down his camera & his passion to help me kickstart mine, and he will forever be cherished in all of our hearts. Truly, my goal is to make people feel seen, heard, and "beau-ti-ful" the same way my Uncle Kent did. so uncle kent,
thank you for the conversation that started this.
my father is a sketch artist and a tattoo artist. he got me my first easel when i was four, and he taught me the proper way to shade my sketches. he is always there to critique and encourage my artwork, and over the years has shared his notebook pages with me so my drawings could sit right next to his. my dad also taught me to tattoo, and when i was nine, he let me tattoo a tiny heart on his wrist.
when i was 17, my first tattoo was that same heart on my wrist, matching my dad.
My mother is a painter and a fashion designer. while i didn't pick up on her fashion ability, she inspired me through her large paintings. peering up on them as a child, i wondered what big great things i could cultivate with my hands... "through the strength given to me by the lord." she would always remind me that any strength given was that not of my own doing but gifted by the holy spirit.
i always admired the way the way she painted that storm.
